Hi! I’m Jaime Chabuz

Jaime Chabuz, ARNP, PMHNP-BC, CNM, PMH-C

I’m a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife. I believe true healing isn’t just about managing symptoms—it’s about coming home to yourself, feeling safe in your body, and feeling supported through the most vulnerable and transformative seasons of life.

Whether you’re navigating:

  • the emotional toll of fertility challenges

  • struggling with perinatal anxiety, depression, or mood changes

  • coping with menstrual cycle symptoms or the cyclical intensity of PMDD

  • experiencing PCOS-related mood shifts or

  • feeling the overwhelm that so often surfaces in midlife during perimenopause or menopause—

I’m here to help!

  • Pregnancy and the postpartum period are filled with hormonal, emotional, and identity shifts that can feel overwhelming—even when everything “looks fine” from the outside. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, birth trauma, or mood changes that don’t seem to go away, you’re not alone. If you're feeling exhausted, irritable, disconnected, or unsure whether your symptoms are “normal,” compassionate support can make all the difference.

I offer evidence-based, integrative mental health care during pregnancy and after birth—including guidance around medication use, holistic support for emotional stability, and space to process difficult or traumatic experiences. Together, we’ll help you feel more like yourself and create a foundation of strength and presence for this chapter of motherhood.

  • If your mood, energy, or sense of self shifts dramatically with your cycle, you may be facing more than “just PMS.” From severe premenstrual symptoms to PMDD or PCOS, these conditions can impact your mental health, relationships, and daily life in profound ways—and they’re often misunderstood or minimized.

I work with women to decode the patterns in their cycle and address the root causes of hormonal mood disruptions. Whether through targeted supplementation, nutrition, cycle syncing, or psychiatric support, we’ll create a plan to reduce suffering and help you feel more balanced throughout every phase of your cycle.

  • Preparing for pregnancy is about more than just ovulation timing—it's about supporting your whole body and mind for the journey ahead. Whether you're transitioning off birth control, addressing post-birth control symptoms, or simply wanting to optimize your health for fertility, I help you build a strong foundation for conception and pregnancy.

We’ll evaluate your current mental health, medications, and lifestyle and work together to support emotional balance, regulate hormones, and promote physical wellness. You don’t have to choose between protecting your mental health and growing your family—we’ll create a personalized plan that supports both.

  • Hormonal changes during perimenopause and menopause can deeply impact your mood, energy, sleep, memory, and sense of self—often without warning. If you’re experiencing brain fog, hot flashes, insomnia, anxiety, or irritability and feeling like your body is working against you, you’re not alone. These symptoms are real—and they’re treatable.

I help women navigate this transition with a blend of personalized psychiatric care, hormone literacy, and lifestyle support. Whether you're considering hormone replacement therapy or want a holistic approach to rebalancing, we’ll work together to help you feel clearer, calmer, and more connected to yourself through midlife and beyond.

  • Experiencing infertility or pregnancy loss can be deeply isolating and emotionally devastating. Whether you're grieving a loss, feeling overwhelmed by the fertility journey, or navigating anxiety and depression that’s emerged along the way, you deserve support that honors your story.

I offer compassionate, integrative care to help you move through this time with as much clarity, dignity, and healing as possible. Through therapy, holistic strategies, and medication support when needed, we’ll walk through the grief and uncertainty together—and create space for hope and healing.

  • From becoming a mother to facing identity shifts in midlife, navigating a divorce, a move, or grief—major transitions can challenge your mental health in unexpected ways. These seasons often bring up anxiety, overwhelm, and a sense of being unmoored.

I help women move through life’s pivots with greater clarity and connection. Whether you're in the midst of a big change or anticipating one, we’ll work together to strengthen your nervous system, support your mental health, and reconnect you with your values, goals, and inner stability.

My Areas of Focus

My Approach

Being an integrative provider means I offer more than just medication management to help you feel better. My work combines the best of evidence-based psychiatry and women’s wellness with holistic and lifestyle-based tools — including nutrition, functional medicine, and nervous system support — to address the full spectrum of your health.

My goal as your healthcare provider is to partner with you in learning how to embody the most authentic version of yourself by tapping into the innate healing potential that already exists within you. It can be intimidating to take the first step but I am here to listen. Together, we’ll create a comprehensive plan that takes into account all factors of your mind, body, and spirit.

Integrative Strategies

How I Can Help

I provide integrative psychiatric care for women that blends conventional treatment with holistic strategies. My approach includes thoughtful medication management, supportive therapy, and psychoeducation about how nutrition, hormones, gut health, and lifestyle affect mental health.

I accept insurance and work with women navigating:

  • Anxiety, depression, and stress

  • Trauma and nervous system dysregulation

  • Bipolar spectrum disorders

  • Perinatal mental health concerns like postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, or mood changes during pregnancy

  • Perimenopause and menopause-related mood or cognitive changes

  • PMDD and mood symptoms associated with the menstrual cycle

  • Complex health histories, hormonal shifts, and chronic symptoms that influence mental health

If you’re seeking care that goes deeper than symptom management and honors your whole self—mind and body—I’m here to help.

“Healing happens in connection. We heal in the presence of others who can hold our experience with compassion and curiosity.”

What Clients Are Saying…

  • “I finally felt like someone was actually listening to me.

I’ve seen so many providers over the years, and this was the first time I felt truly heard. Jaime took the time to understand my full story—not just my symptoms—and worked with me to create a plan that felt personalized and supportive. I left each session feeling seen, cared for, and more hopeful.”

  • “Everything finally made sense.

After years of being on different medications and still feeling off, I finally have a plan that works for me. The combination of simplifying my medication, thoughtful supplements, and lifestyle support has been life changing.”

  • “It was such a relief to hear that what I was feeling was normal.

I had been silently struggling after becoming a mother, thinking I should just push through. The care I received helped me understand that what I was going through was valid—and that I didn’t have to carry it alone.”
